Custom Made Jacket For Robin

This jacket was made from Robin's Grandmother's handmade quilt. It is the 9 point star quilt block pattern, a very challenging pattern to sew correctly!
Sewing:
The quilt needed a few repairs but being so old and used will make it that much softer to wear!
I used the "Claire" jacket pattern because the borders of the quilt were perfect for the collar.
Robin, I hope you love wearing this jacket when your are chilly or just want to get a hug from the past!

1930's Quilt lined with Newspaper
Old newspaper was used to cut/piece the quilt pattern. Dating from the newspaper inside dated the quilt to be from the 1930's
